The Frank Caprio campaign is announcing that President Clinton will campaign for him in Rhode Island this Sunday. The campaign did not immediately release any other details about the days' schedule.

The announcement comes the day after President Obama visited Rhode Island and declined to endorse Caprio for governor. On 630 WPRO yesterday, Caprio told Obama he could take his endorsement and "really shove it."

Caprio is a long-time Clinton supporter and backed Hillary Clinton over Obama in her 2008 presidential bid.

"When Clinton was president, working class Americans knew they had a fighter in the oval office, and we saw unprecedented economic growth as a result," said Caprio. "I'm a Clinton Democrat and Rhode Island is Clinton Country. I will work with the Obama administration to advance the Democratic priorities that are going to create jobs in this state. I will fight on behalf of Rhode Islanders every single day."
