BREAKING NEWS: Caprio Tells Obama to “Shove” his Endorsement

Monday, October 25, 2010

Democratic nominee for Governor Frank Caprio in a radio interview on 630 WPRO this morning, told host John DePetro that President Obama "can take his endorsement and really shove." Caprio's statement came during the 6:45 am interview with John DePetro, host of the morning show and MINDSETTER™ for GoLocalProv.

General Treasurer Caprio said that he has never asked for the President's endorsement.  The White House had leaked last night that they would not make an endorsement today during the President's visit to Rhode Island.  The purpose of the President's visit is to raise money for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and appear with Democratic candidate for Congress David Cicilline.  Cicilline is competing with Republican candidate John Loughlin for the 1st Congressional District.  The seat is presently held by Congressman Patrick Kennedy.

Caprio also criticized the President for treating Rhode Island like, "an ATM." Failing to visit or even fly over the state during the spring floods, but coming into Rhode Island only to fundraise.

More to come throughout the day.

You would think that the Governorship of RI means something. Mr.Fox runs the chicken coop up at Capitol Hill. Remember that. And remember that just a few of us get to vote for or against him from his cushy House district on the East Side.

Must confess that this side show for Governor is very entertaining. What will be even better will be to see how old and grey the winner will get..... trying to "rule" this state during the Depression!
