A group of bipartisan legislators have called for a delay in RhodeMap RI approval. The legislators, a group of Democrats, Republican's and independents, want to fix an imbalance that excludes meaningful action in the process of improving Rhode Island's poor economic performance.

"Characterizing RhodeMap RI as an economic development plan is disingenuous and lacks the transparency the public deserves, and moving forward with it in its present form is a disservice to the state," wrote the group of legislators in a letter to Kevin Flynn, the Associate Director of the RI Division of Planning.

“This is not government at its finest, but at its worst,” said State Representative Patricia Morgan (R- Coventry, West Warwick, Warwick) about RhodeMap RI's plan.
