A Providence mother is looking for help to find a local dog owner. The hope is that a dog last seen on Wickenden can be identified so that a 12-year-old boy can avoid taking a series of painful shots as a precaution to rabies. The mother has asked the community for help.

"My son (12 years old) was bitten by a dog in front of the Coffee Exchange in Wickenden Street Tuesday 27 August around 4.15 pm. Health Services told us that we have 5 days to find the dog and the owner otherwise my son has to start the rabies vaccinations. Could you help to find the dog and owner?" said Ayla Cevik, the mother of the 12-year-old.

She describes the owner of the dog as grey haired man around mid fifties-sixties and she decribes the dog as golden-colored with a pointed noise. The owner was talking to a friend (friends) in front of the Coffee Exchange on Tuesday of this week.
