video: A Father Remembers His Lost Son - A 9/11 Tribute
Monday, September 11, 2023
Shawn Nassaney was a natural athlete, a leader, and was poised to take his young adulthood by storm, when his life was ended abruptly on September 11, 2001.
Born and raised in Pawtucket, the Bryant University alum was traveling with his girlfriend Lynn Catherine Goodchild on a spontaneous four-day trip to Maui, Hawaii, before the pair settled into the MBA program at Providence College. Nassaney and Goodchild were passengers on United Airlines Flight 175, which was hijacked by five al-Qaeda terrorists and crashed into the South Tower of New York's World Trade Center.
His father Patrick took the time to talk about Shawn and the life he might have led if events had been different on that day.
