LIVE: URI Will Have Game Plan to Avenge St. Joe’s Blowout, Says WRIU’s Kinch Ahead of A-10 Semifinal
Saturday, March 10, 2018
Following URI's quarterfinal victory over VCU in the A-10 Men's Basketball Championship, URI senior and WRIU's General Manager and play-by-play man Ben Kinch joined GoLocal LIVE to break down the game -- and prospects for Semifinal action Saturday.
Sophomore Jeff Dowtin poured in 18 points to lead Rams past VCU -- despite shooting just 57.9% (11-of-19) from the free throw line.
With St. Joseph's beating George Mason at the time of the interview, Kinch addressed the Rams getting blown out by St. Joe's 78-48 in the final home game of the season -- and how URI would face meeting them again on Saturday.
