“This work has been all about shifting the paradigm around the power and importance of art in communities,” says actor, Joe Wilson Jr., who is known almost as much for his participation in his community as his acting.
Wilson has been a company member at Trinity Repertory Company for 12 seasons and says he’s grateful for the opportunity to serve his community through activism, mentorship, advocacy, and his art.
“My work has become more fulfilling the more it’s been tied to activism,” Wilson Jr., said.

He invites the community to attend the fundraising event on Friday evening that helps support the event and allows it to be free of charge for all attendees.
