In a recent study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine, Boston Medical Center researchers found that yoga classes specifically designed for chronic lower back pain helped patients feel better.

Dr. Eric Roseen who was was involved with research said participants in the study saw improved function with yoga and they didn’t need to take as much pain medication.

Moving forward, Dr. Roseen says yoga should be considered as a treatment option for patients and he hopes to see hospitals and clinics work to incorporate yoga classes.
