LIVE: RI History Expert McBurney Publishes New Book “World War II Rhode Island”

Author and Rhode Island native Christian McBurney says Rhode Island’s contribution to World War II exceeded its small size.
McBurney, who also publishes the Rhode Island history blog Small State Big History, recently released his seventh book “World War II Rhode Island” in collaboration with four other authors.
The Brown University graduate says history fans and readers might be surprised to learn that three top-secret German prisoner of war camps were based in Narragansett and Jamestown.
