LIVE: RI Food Fights-Ice Cream and Iced Coffee

Jim Nellis, founder of RI Food Fights says over ten businesses will compete for best ice cream in the 6th annual Incredible Ice Cream Throwdown on July 16 at The Rhode Island Eye Institute in Providence.
Ice cream lovers will get to try products from Lincoln Creamery, Like No Udder, Frosty Freez and more.
The next food fight starts in August and it is a battle for the best iced coffee in the state.

As of July 10, seventeen businesses have signed up for the competition including The Shop, The Coffee Exchange, Borealis Coffee Roasters and Coastal Roasters.
Nellis says the Food Fight passport events are crucial to business marketing because 70% of people who come into shops have never been into those businesses before. He continued to say 90% of people who come in, buy at least one additional item.
