Tuesday, October 31, 2017
Every year there are over 900 cases of Lyme Disease reported to Rhode Island Department of Health.
Jane Barrows, who runs the Lyme Newport Support, was stricken with Lyme nearly ten years ago. She says it’s crucial to get educated about tick-borne illness and find a doctor well versed if you are diagnosed with Lyme Disease.
Barrows advocates for spreading awareness, and her group Lyme Newport Support is sponsoring a “Tick-or-Treat” Lyme Disease educational rally on Tuesday, October 31, from 2 to 5 PM, in front of the Rhode Island State House.
