Tuesday, September 25, 2018
Josh Bazar of Imperial Pearl joined GoLocal LIVE’s Business Monday to discuss his company’s global reach, focus on high-quality products, and commitment to an environmentally sustainable business model.
For Bazar -- the third generation leader of the East Providence company that is now America’s largest pearl company -- the opportunities and challenges are limitless.
The company has become the pre-eminent global source "not only for the finest pearls crafted by nature’s hand, but also for the most beautiful classic and contemporary pearl jewelry crafted by the hand of man.”

Throughout the years, Imperial’s designs have been worn by everyone from Elizabeth Taylor to Olivia Culpo.
Despite being exclusively a business-to-business company, each year for just three weekends prior to the holidays, the company has a direct to consumer sale from its facility in East Providence. Bazar sells products with sales from less than $100 to more than $150,000.
Bazar discussed Imperials’ commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and its investment in going solar. In working with RI Commerce Corporation, the company developed a rooftop solar installation and the company is now 100% energy self-sufficient.
