“Valentined” Opens at Craftland

No matter how much you love (or hate) Valentine's Day, this week's brand new show at Craftland, "Valentined", will sweep you off your feet.
The new group show features one-of-a-kind and limited edition Valentines by local and national artists, and runs through March 3. Check out homages to the tradition that was born in the 19th century and has exploded into an industry of candy, flowers, relationship crisis management, and about 190 million Valentines sent each year nationwide.
And the public is invited to share the love this week at an opening reception at Craftland on Thursday, February 9, from 5-8pm. There will be sweet snacks and delicious drinks, promises Craftland's Deb Dormody, and more than half of the artists showing will be there. Plus, Dormody adds, featured artist Arley-Rose Torsone will be on hand to hand-letter envelopes to your Valentine for $5 "in her unique style."
