Former Attorney General Arlene Violet's just-released book with former US Marshal John Partington, The Mob and Me: Wiseguys and the Witness Protection Program, details the fascinating story of the development of the program that allowed mid-level criminals to survive and be used in prosecutions of high-level crime bosses.
