Southern New England Music Expo Coming to RI May 3rd

The First Annual Southern New England Music Expo will be held at The Crowne Plaza in Warwick on May 3, 2015. The Expo will feature new and upcoming products for musicians and music listeners.

Guest speakers will include Ken Caillat, who produced and engineered the Fleetwood Mac albums Rumours, Tusk and Mirage. He will be doing a lecture presentation about his years working with the band and will also be signing copies of his book ‘Making Rumours’.

A keynote panel featuring Joe Belliotti, Head of Global Music Partnerships for The Coca-Cola Company and in 2013, 2014 & 2015 was named as one of Billboard’s “Power 100” list of the most powerful players in the music business; Josh Burke, VP Strategy & Major Accounts for Music Dealers, a music agency that works with brands, agencies, TV networks, and film & game studios; and Jeff Rabhan, Chair of The Clive Davis Institute for Recorded Music at NYU and Artist Manager who has helped guide the careers of international superstars across all genres of popular music.

Music equipment, recording equipment, and used vinyl and other music memorabilia will be for sale.

“I wanted to create the type of event I always wished existed while growing up as a music fan and musician in Rhode Island.”, said Greg Lato, co-organizer of the event, along with Rich Marin.

Greg Lato is a songwriter originally from Providence, RI. He writes for film/TV, himself and other artists. He recently placed a song in the film '16-Love' featuring a teen star from Pretty Little Liars. The film went to #1 on the iTunes chart. He has received awards from the Billboard World Song Contest, and written for MTV and A&E network shows.

Rob Marin is a singer/songwriter originally from Providence, RI. Rob has been performing professionally throughout the Northeast and Canada with various bands. He recently collaborated with Grammy nominated writer and producer Andre Fennell.
