Get them while they're hot: Shepard Fairey's new iPhone cases.

Shepard Fairey's art can be seen all over the streets of Providence, and now it can be seen covering your iPhone as well. The renowned street artist has teamed up with Incase iPhone accessory company to create four new cases for the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s.

From the man who brought you OBEY and HOPE

Shepard Fairey is known for his OBEY GIANT campaign, his HOPE poster for President Obama, and his many street art installations and museum exhibitions. After graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in illustration, he founded a printing business in Providence called Alternative Graphics, while continuing to work on his own artworks. Now, his graphics are highly sought-after, and he recently designed the cover for Time Magazine's "2011 Person of the Year" issue.

The hard shell Snap Cases come in four different designs, Elephant, Lotus, Black Lotus, and Red Lotus (no Andre the Giant, unfortunately). The cases are part of the Incase Shepard Fairey collection. The product line includes backpacks, MacBook sleeves, and iPod cases, and there are free download of backgrounds for various devices.

"Fairey steeps his ideology and iconography in the self-empowerment of those who refuse to be manipulated by the machine of manufactured consent," according to Incase's Web site. It says nothing about the potential  redundancy of using his rebellious art for mass-produced commercial technology.
