Summer’s heating up in the 401 – and so are the celeb sightings! Last weekend, fave reality star Caroline Manzo – of Bravo's The Real Housewives of New Jersey – visited nearby Mohegan Sun for a much-buzzed-about Reality Check event. First, Manzo delighted her audience by bringing her sons, Albie and Christopher, on stage with her for a Q&A. Afterwards, the starlet signed copies of her bio, Let Me Tell You Something, for her fans, rocking nude patent leather heels, white pants, a purple tweed blazer, and her signature red tresses. Manzo had never been to Mohegan Sun before but commented how she loved the layout of the property – score one for the neighborhood!

In other small screen-related news, Cranston native Elisabeth Hasselbeck is finally leaving The View – but is on to bigger and better things at Fox & Friends. The co-host (and former Boston College Eagle!) said a tearful goodbye to her legendary coworker, Barbara Walters: "Barbara, I did some math last night, and I think that I have had over 3,000 days working by your side – I think it is fair to say that over the course of the decade, I have attended the Barbara Walters school of broadcasting and journalism." Co-host Sherri Shepard is “really depressed" about the news but is looking forward to working with Jenny MCarthy, who’s recently been confirmed as Hasselbeck’s replacement. We wish Hasselbeck the best of luck from her home state!

Speaking of making moves, East Providence native (and Lincoln School alum!) Meredith Vieira will get her own daytime talk show in 2014, The Meredith Vieira Show. After a successful career at NBC, a huge congrats is in order for Vieira – and Ted Harbert, chairman of NBC Broadcasting, agrees: "All of us at NBCU are so excited about this new show with Meredith." Us too, Ted.

World-class Newport was equally star-studded over the weekend, from star musicians Chris Isaak and B.B. King on stage at the Newport Sunset Music Series to tennis royalty at the International Tennis Hall of Fame, when the institution enshrined a new class of hall-of-famers (for any tennis buffs, the class included former world No. 1 and 5-time singles Grand Slam champion Martina Hingis, Australian tennis legend Thelma Coyne Long, and tennis industry leaders Cliff Drysdale, Charlie Pasarell, and Ion Tiriac)! Spotted at Enshrinement weekend: Rod Laver, Jeanne Moutoussamy-Ashe, Patrick McEnroe, Senator George Mitchell, Pam Shriver, Todd Martin, and Mary Pierce. Additionally, on Sunday, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of her famous Battle of the Sexes match, tennis legend Billie Jean King provided commentary.
