RISD Museum Debuts New Galleries, Renovations

RISD Museum will unveil new galleries and renovations June 10th in culmination of a 7-year project on the museum’s central Eliza G. Radeke Building.
Governor Lincoln Chafee will be on hand for the invite-only ribbon-cutting ceremony. The new and improved galleries open to the public on June 13, and a free “Design the Night” celebration follows on June 19.
The renovations include a replacement skylight and roof repairs, as well as refurbishments and fire code upgrades to almost 5,000 square feet of art galleries.
