Thursday, January 28, 2016
If you were walking around Providence on Wednesday afternoon, you have have seen these two characters straight out of the creature creation class at the Rhode Island School of Design's Puppet Theater.
"We develop our creature from start to finish, how it looks, how it talks and walks, everything. The entire class is based on giving birth to a creature," said Hool Eye Johnson.

"We were at a Big Nazo convention and two ladies came in from the west coast and Big Nazo said 'oh no they are going to steal your brain,' and so I came up with the idea of Cigol, logic spelt backwards, so no one can steal my brain," Johnson said, pointing out that the eye on her costume is to watch out for anyone that tries.
The other creature with Cigol, is Madonna, played and developed by Ivy Ni.
"Pretty much the idea just came from people that think they are really cool but are just primadonnas. It was nothing all that creative," said Ni.
The students are getting their characters ready for RISD's Creature Creation show that will take place later in the school year.
