The grandson of the late U.S. Senator Claiborne Pell, Clay Pell, is engaged to marry Olympic superstar Michelle Kwan.
Today, Clay Pell serves as the director for strategic planning on the National Security staff at the White House. He was once rumored to be a candidate for the 1st Congressional seat now held by embattled David Cicilline.
According to People magazine, Pell popped the question on Block Island on September 3.
