The days of enjoying a cigar over a three-martini lunch went out with bell bottoms and disco, but fear not Don Draper wannabes: GoLocalProv has Rhode Island’s top spots to smoke a stogie and sip a scotch.

Cigar Masters, Providence:  Finish off that steak dinner at Fleming’s and head over to this elite establishment to have a smoke and watch the Sox. A comfortable lounge, an unrivaled selection and a prime downtown location make this spot a must-visit for cigar enthusiasts. Cigar Masters, 1 West Exchange Street, Providence, 383-9002.

Humidor Smoke Shops: With locations in Cranston, East Greenwich, Newport and Warwick, this chain is as reliable as it is affordable. If you’re looking for a place to hang out and watch a ball game, bring your own beer to the East Greenwich shop, with its 60” flat screen and backroom poker table. Humidor Smoke Shops, Cranston: 1500 Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston, 463-5949; Warwick: 1732 Post Rd, Warwick, 732-3311; Newport: 182 Thames Street, Newport, 842-0270; East Greenwich: 5600 Post Road # 22, East Greenwich, 885-1285.

Tammany Hall, Providence: Providence’s real City Hall. Combine that stogie with a beer and a burger and watch the city’s movers and shakers argue about what to do with your tax dollars. Who knows? Maybe you’ll make a Buddy. Tammany Hall, 409 Atwells Ave, Providence, 831-3180.

Smoke Lounge, Providence: This two-story indoor/outdoor bar is the perfect bachelor party spot for guys who wear too much gel in their hair. The best of both worlds, Smoke has a wide selection of affordable cigars and a second-to-none ventilation system if you can’t stand smelling like an ashtray. Smoke Lounge, 114 Spruce St, Providence, 780-8975.

Retro, Warwick: Light up while enjoying a pizza from Picasso’s at this Warwick cigar bar. Advertises itself as a ‘70s themed lounge, but it’s okay to drop the fedora, throw on the old school Larry Bird jersey and root for the Celtics in the upcoming playoffs. Retro, 2323 Warwick Ave, Warwick, 401-739-5030.

Old World Cigar, Providence: Convenient location on The Hill where old timers talk about playing bocce and reminisce about the days when Coin-O-Matic was the most important spot on Atwells Ave. Old World Cigar, 345 Atwells Avenue, Providence, 276-9150.

Tobacco Road, Newport: For the efficient man or women, this Newport hot spot offers free WiFi to its customers. You know, so you can Facebook about what a fantastic time you’re having.  It is BYOB, but keep it classy folks: Never bring beer cheaper than the price of your stogie. It’s bad form. Tobacco Road, 190 Admiral Kalbfus Rd, Newport, 619-1649.
