slides: One Fired, One Hired: RI’s Hasselbeck + Jordan In Reality TV News

Monday, March 11, 2013

It's been a big week for Rhode Islanders Elizabeth Hasselbeck and Claudia Jordan on reality TV shows. First, rumors are flying that Hasselbeck might be leaving ABC's The View, where she has co-hosted since 2003. US Magazine broke the news, citing Hasselbeck's extreme, right-wing views as not compatible enough with the viewership.

Meanwhile, another RI-born megastar, Claudia Jordan, is back on high-wattage reality TV, battling on the brand-new NBC's All-Star Celebrity Apprentice. Jordan is matching wits with Dennis Rodman, Lisa Rinna, previous winner Bret Michaels, Penn Jillette, runner-up Trace Adkins, Brande Roderick, Lil John, Omarosa, Stephen Baldwin, Dee Snider, Marilu Henner, Gary Busey, and La Toya Jackson. The new season premiered on NBC on March 3, and Michaels went home. Stay tuned to see how Jordan fares.

To see more about Hasselbeck, Jordan, and RI's other reality royalty, check out the slides, below.
