Providence Ranked Least Honest City by Honest Tea

Providence is the least honest city in America, according to a recently published survey by Honest Tea, an organic iced tea company.

Honest Tea – a subsidiary of the Coca-Cola Company – recently released their 2014 National Honesty Index, a survey that utilized the honor system by placing unmanned street racks in sixty cities across the United States.

These street racks featured Honest Tea drinks for sale for a price of one dollar. According to survey results, 28,000 beverages were taken, 95-percent of which people paid for.

Of all the cities in which the experiment was conducted, Providence ranked the least honest, only paying for 80-percent of the beverages. Minneapolis, MN (81-percent), Milwaukee, WI (84-percent), Richmond, VA (88-percent) and Boston, MA (89-percent) rounded out the top five least honest cities in America.

Honolulu, HI (100-percent) ranked as the most honest city in America. Following Honolulu were Manchester, CT (99-percent), Lake George, NY (99-percent), Nashville, TN (99-percent), and Birmingham, AL (99-percent).
