Newport’s Forty-One North Hotel Named Top Getaway

Nauti but nice... the view from 41 North
The upscale boutique hotel that's made a big splash on the Newport hospitality scene is one of just five getaways chosen by luxury travel experts Mr and Mrs Smith for OUT Traveler's guide to the top destinations for the upcoming long weekend.
Sleek and sultry
OUT Traveler called the harborfront hotel a "sleek and sultry Newport newcomer." And, "although the nautical references are there if you look for them," they say, "it never strays into sailor-boy kitsch." Citing decorative details such as "button-back leather, glimmering glass paneling and matte and shine mash-ups," OUT Traveler praises the hotel as "unassumingly glamorous."
Experts loved what they called "the playful addition of a Dr. Seuss book in every room," and recommended "light-soaked Suite 3, which feels like an airy Upper East Side apartment."
Forty 1° North shares the limelight with esteemed company, including the Oceana Santa Monica in Southern California, the Bungalow Hotel on the Jersey Shore, C/O Maidstone in The Hamptons, and Cavallo Point in San Francisco.
Not sparing the sass, OUT Traveler calls the group, fittingly, "nauti but nice."
