NewportFILM Presents Acclaimed “Coming Home” Tonight at Casino Theater

The acclaimed documentary “Coming Home” will be screened tonight at the Casino Theater in Newport as a part of NewportFILM’s series of documentary film presentations.
The film follows Angel Cordero, who was charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in The Bronx. Despite the evidence, Cordero was convicted and served thirteen years in prison. Seven years later, another man confessed to the crime.
“Coming Home” follows Cordero as he is released into a new age of social communication and eventually confronts the man who took away his freedom.

Tickets are available online or at the box office.
The film showing is at 7pm, and there is also a pre-film wine reception available at 6pm, which also includes a post-film Q&A with the subject of the film, Angel Cordero.
