Newport Luxury Inn Makes Conde Nast 2012 Gold List

The creme de la creme listing just released by the travel magazine plucks the top scorers in its most recent Readers' Choice Survey, a result of some 8 million votes cast by the savviest travelers worldwide--its readership.
The Chanler, the splendidly restored mansion that mixes touches of Gothic, Renaissance, and English Tudor in its rich interiors, perches on Newport's Cliff Walk with a sweeping view of Middletown's Second Beach. It is the only Rhode Island property so honored.

Rhode Island's top resorts and hotels
In October, four RI resorts and hotels made Conde Nast Traveler's Readers' Choice Awards: Chanler at Cliff Walk, Castle Hill Inn, Ocean House, and the Vanderbilt Grace. Chanler's overall score of 92.0 on a 100-point scale earned it the added prestige of the Gold List.

Despite all the fabulous spirits at The Spiced Pear's bars, the innocence of youth has not been abandoned.
