NEW: X-Factor Auditions in Providence May 9-10

Do you have what it takes? Because now's your chance. The X FACTOR will be at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, holding its first round of open-call auditions starting 6am on Wednesday, May 9. Auditions will run through Thursday, May 10.

Wristbands will be distributed to auditioners during the registration day from approximately 6:00 AM on Wednesday, May 9th until approximately 6am on Thursday, May 10th. Auditioners will not be permitted to camp out. Once auditioners obtain their wristbands, they will be asked to return to the Dunkin’ Donuts Center by 8am on Thursday, May 10th for their audition.

Expanded audition process

THE X FACTOR is expanding its audition process to reach more singers than any talent show ever before in its search to find the best new solo artists and vocal groups in America. In addition and new for Season Two, artists with pre-existing management contracts can now audition (subject to limited restrictions).

Auditions are open to all of America, ages 12 and over with no upper age limit (subject to full eligibility requirements). 

THE X FACTOR Season Two winner will receive a $5 million recording contract with Sony Music.

Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid will return as judges to THE X FACTOR this Fall on FOX. Additional judges are to be announced.

“We wanted to change a few things this year, so starting with the auditions, we’ve torn up the rulebook again," said Cowell. "Even if you have management you can still enter, and we are making it easier by extending the online auditions and taking the MyStudio booths to even more cities. You can enter as many times as you want and come to any of the cities, too. We’re here to discover stars from all music styles including groups.  I really believe a group can win this show!”
