Rhode Island summer loving had me a blast. Rhode Island summer loving happened so fast…

And no place better for that summer love than in Providence. Travel + Leisure has named the capital city one of the top places in America to spark that scintillating summer fling, ranking it the 10th best city for singles.

The rankings took a broad range of categories into account, including nightlife, cocktails, and fascinating people. Providence adds this accolade to its #3 standing in neighborhood joints, #4 spot for beer, a #7 slot in stylish people, and a #7 grade in live music. Furthermore, Providence’s population isn’t half-bad looking either, as the city was voted as #15 for most attractive people. Party-all-the-time city New Orleans took top honors in the July 2011 poll. Boston came in a disappointing 19th.
