Seattle took top honors, followed by Portland, Oregon, then New Orleans. Providence finished ahead of such urban meccas as San Francisco and New York City.

On the capital city of Rhode Island, Travel and Leisure wrote, "How seriously do Rhode Islanders take their coffee? In 1993, the state legislature declared coffee milk the official state drink.
