The Rhode Island Foundation is one of the largest community foundations in the nation, making $29.2 million in grants to nonprofit organizations in 2010.

Time of unprecedented need

“The Foundation is committed to strengthening the state’s nonprofit organizations, which continue to serve so many Rhode Islanders at this time of unprecedented need in our state,” Steinberg continued.

“Our grantmaking seeks to focus on impact and assist these organizations so that they will achieve long term solutions to the challenges we face. I am pleased that Daniel will be leading our efforts in his new role.”
