NEW: Hasbro CEO Bullish on Transformers 4
Tuesday, October 18, 2011
Transformers 4? Hell yes.
Hasbro's entertainment saga took a set of turns this week as new information has surfaced on several projects the Rhode Island toy manufacturer is involved in, revealed by the corporation's 3rd quarter conference call.
Transformers... 4
Word is that Hasbro is in talks with Transformers director Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg about how to get Transformers 4 out of the gate. The series has been box office gold, and there's no expectation that a fourth product would disappoint.
Meanwhile, Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner laid out other film updates in the company's third quarter conference call, including plans for Hasbro properties Micronauts, Ouija, Candyland, Risk, Stretch Armstrong, Clue and Monopoly.
Goldner compared the previously stalled Ouija film to Disney's The Lone Ranger, adding that major budget changes should bring the film back into production.
But with the top story being all about the Transformers juggernaut extending another step, Shia LaBoeuf fans should keep their fingers crossed.
