NEW: DownCity’s Kitchen Nightmares Episode to Air Oct. 21

Next Friday night, Providence is going to be back on national TV when DownCity restaurant returns to FOX’s Kitchen Nightmares.
Last year, the Weybosset Street restaurant was visited by belligerent chef Gordon Ramsay for the show. He came to revamp DownCity’s food and managerial approach to help them bring in new customers and become a downtown destination for theatergoers and food lovers. The show aired in March, and this past July Ramsay and his crew revisited the restaurant to check up on their progress and how his changes have helped.
It seems that Ramsay’s intervention has worked to keep the eatery from nightmare status. Abby Cabral, DownCity’s owner and general manager, said of his revisit, “It was a much more positive experience than last time. He was very happy with all the changes we made.” She added, “It was a fun, light experience this time around, and there was no fighting.”
