NEW: DJ Pauly D Joins Britney Spears Tour

It's official. Pauly D and Britney Spears are hitting the road together.
Rhode Island's best-known DJ confirmed the story with a statement that announced that he'll be joining Britney Spears' "Femme Fatale" tour. The reality star will be joining stars like Nicki Minaj (who played recently in Providence) as an opening act for the star.

"Britney is one of my favorite performers and certainly one of this generation's most influential artists. It's an amazing platform to connect with my fans around the country," Pauly D said in his statement to the Hollywood Reporter.
Pauly D will hook up with Spears beginning August 17, for six concerts:
- August 17 - Grand Rapids, MI @ Van Andel Arena
- August 19 - Pittsburgh, PA @ CONSOL Energy Center
- August 20 - Columbus, OH @ Nationwide Arena
- August 22 - Indianapolis, IN @ Conseco Fieldhouse
- August 24 - Raleigh, NC @ RBC Center
- August 25 - Charlotte, SC @ Time Warner Cable Center
