Comic Book Legend Stan Lee Coming to RI Comic Con

Rhode Island Comic Con has announced that comic book legend Stan Lee will be attending in 2016 and will have a special VIP event on the Friday night of the show. Other photo ops and autograph tickets will be announced soon.

Stan Lee along with artists Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko created the Marvel Comics universe which includes characters such as The Amazing Spider-Man, Incredible Hulk, Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Thor, X- men and many others.
GET THE LATEST BREAKING NEWS HERE -- SIGN UP FOR GOLOCAL FREE DAILY EBLASTThe first superhero group that Stan Lee created was the Fantastic Four, but his (and Steve Ditko's) creation of Spider-Man helped put he and Marvel over the top. Spider-Man is Marvel's most successful character.
Lee makes cameo appearances in just about every Marvel movie. including the last one Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Lee was inducted into the comic book industry's Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame in 1994 and the Jack Kirby Hall of Fame in 1995. In 2008, Lee received a National Medal of Arts.
This will be Lee's last New England appearance.
Comic Con is Loading up
Rhode Island Comic Con 2016 is loading up with celebrities. Comic Con announced in February that Gotham's Robin Lord Taylor will be attending and just after that, it was announced that Jason David Frank, the original Green Ranger from the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers will be attending.
Prior to that, Comic Con announced that Kevin Eastman, the co-creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is attending.
RI Comic Con 2016
Rhode Island comic Con 2016 will take place from November 11th to the 13th at the Rhode Island Convention and Dunkin' Donuts Center.

Huge Success in 2015
Comic Con 2015 was a huge success, drawing close to 60,000 people, including vendors and artists, to the event.
