NEW: Castle Hill Inn Named Top 10 Most Romantic Hotel in US

Isn't it romantic? Millions of travelers think so: Newport's Castle Hill Inn.
Newport's famed luxury property was chosen by TripAdvisor's "millions of valuable reviews and opinions from travelers around the world," according to the site, for its inclusion in the prestigious winner's circle. The site's 2012 Travelers' Choice Romance awards were announced this morning.
“For travelers seeking a romantic getaway with their significant other, whether it be for Valentine’s Day or any other romantic occasion, TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Romance hotels offer inspiration for enchanting escapes across the globe,” said Barbara Messing, chief marketing officer for TripAdvisor.
Castle Hill rounded out the Top 10 for 2012, which was largely dominated by the West. The Koa Kea Hotel & Resort in Poipu, Kauai, HI, took top honors, followed by Starfish Manor Oceanfront Hotel in Lincoln City, OR. Inn of the Dove in Bensalem, PA took the #3 spot, with the Spindrift Inn in Monterey, CA, and the St. Regis Princeville Resort in Kauai, HI coming in at #4 and #5. French Polynesia dominated the worldwide list also released by TripAdvisor this morning, with 3 hotels in the Top 5. The 10 Most Romantic Hotels in the World for 2012, according to TripAdvisor, are:
1. Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora, Motu Tehotu, French Polynesia
2. Capella Ixtapa, Paseo Playa Linda, Ixtapa, Mexico
3. Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa, Moorea, Papetoai, French Polynesia
4. The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort, Motu Ome’e, French Polynesia
5. Tokoriki Island Resort, Tokoriki Island, Fiji
6. Jade Mountain Resort, Soufriere, St. Lucia
7. Andronis Luxury Suites, Thiras Oias, Oia, Greece
8. Koa Kea Hotel & Resort, Poipu, Kauai, Hawaii
9. Mariaggi’s Theme Suites Hotel, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
10. Royal Davui Island Resort, Royal Davui Island, Fiji

Castle Hill's quote chosen by TripAdvisor's editors, was, simply, "Amazing hotel!" Indeed. Castle Hill continues to garner national acclaim, having been recently named to Conde Nast's 2011 Reader's Choice Awards as one of the Top 50 Small Hotels in the World.
