Ms. White, 81, said the funds will be claimed by her family's Rainbow Sherbet Fund.
Leroy White, who is called a Newport icon, is well-known for his Ethnic Urban New Age Style that fuses jazz, rock, pop and soul, "mixed with an ambient percussive rings of freedom," according to The Newport Buzz. Originally from Newark, NJ, Mr. White won first place at the Apollo Theater Talent Contest in Harlem, NY at the age of 13.

Anyone catch the asswipe Governor acting so patronizing with this lady?
He said she was smart and lucky.
So is he-he managed to get a Providence homestead exemption;register his cars in Exeter;and vote in Warwick-very smart-and lucky-that's he's not at the ACI.
