RI's newest millionaire, Louise White, stepped into the spotlight and claimed her family's $336.4 million dollar Powerball prize today. She is the mother of famed Newport musician Leroy White.
"I'm very happy and I'm very proud and this will make my family very happy. We are truly blessed," said Ms. White, in a brief statement.
Ms. White, 81, said the funds will be claimed by her family's Rainbow Sherbet Fund.

Originally from Newark, NJ, Mr. White won first place at the Apollo Theater Talent Contest in Harlem, NY at the age of 13.
