Narragansett Beer Kicks Off Father’s Day Tie Design Contest

Tuesday, December 13, 2011

Narragansett Beer has put out the call to artists of all stripes to come up with the hippest Father's Day tie… and win themselves some Narragansett Lager (and cash!) along the way.

It's the fifth annual Father's Day Tie Design contest, and even though dad's day is a half-year off, the competition runs now through December 23.

Calling all creatives

The ever-hip local beer purveyors are seeking designers, artists, and creatives of all types to submit designs. The winner's design will be featured online at www.NaragansettBeer.com and be featured on real ties distributed throughout leading New England package stores in June 2012. Plus: all finalists will receive a free case of Narragansett Lager and cash prizes of $500, $250 and $100 will be awarded to the top three entries.

The more creative the design the better, say the folks who brought you Hi-Neighbor! But keep in mind that all 'Gansett tie designs must incorporate Narragansett Beer elements and imagery. Judges will choose the winners based on three main criteria: creativity, wearability, and "overall 'Gansettness."

How to submit your 'Gansettness

Design entries must be received by December 23, 2011, and should be submitted in the form of a high- or low-resolution JPEG to intern@narragansettbeer.com. For full rules and regulations (and to see who won last year), go here.
