Listen to Your Mother will be playing at Providence's Gordon School on Thursday, April 28.  

The national show is in it's fourth year in Providence and celebrates motherhood, with Mother's Day coming up. 

The show begins at 7 p.m.

Listen to Your Mother 

The goal of every Listen to Your Mother show is to take the audience on a journey which celebrates and validates being a mother by giving a voice to motherhood. 

The show aims to support motherhood creatively through artistic expression, and also financially through contributions to non profit organizations supporting families in need. 

The Cast 

The cast of mothers includes the following: 

Daphnee Rentfrow 

Rentfrow is the mother of three kids and has lived in Rhode Island for over 20 years after living in places such as South Korea, Japan, EStonia and Russia. 

Rentfrow is the founding member of the Historical Fiction Collaborative, a Rhode Island writers' group and is in the process of writing her first novel. 

Leah DeCesare 

DeCesare is the mother of three kids who she says "are the center of my world, the beating of my heart." 

DeCesare is about to submit the manuscript for her first novel, "The Fork Book," to agents.

Jasmine Hopkins 

Hopkins lives in East Greenwich, Rhode Island and is a mother to five kids, all under 11 years old. 

Hopkins formally worked as a recruiter before leaving the job to become a stay at home mom. 

She is a recent cancer survivor and an MS Warrior. 

Tamar Paull 

Paull is a lesbian mother of 4 and a half year old twins, Gino and Milo. 

Paull and her wife, Kris, were married in Massachusetts before their marriage was legal in Rhode Island. 

They adopted their babies from birth in Florida just a few months after the state legalized adoption by same sex parents.
