With the summer winding down and schools starting back up shortly, its time to start planning some last chance summer fun ideas for the remaining nice weather, or the weather that isn't so great.
In order to help out, GoLocalProv has compiled a list of last chance activities to do before the summer comes to an end. Activities range from mini golf to seeing a movie at the Jane Pickens Theater.

Mini Golf
Mini Golf at Mulligan's Island
Have you made a 3 or less at Mulligan's Island's volcano hole? If not, now is a perfect time to try it.
Visit Mulligan's Island, located at 1000 New London Ave in Cranston for a fun round of mini golf. If you finish mini golf and are looking for more fun, hit the driving range or the batting cages.

Castle Hill Inn
Dinner Outside at Castle Hill Inn
Get yourself to Newport and go to Castle Hill Inn for dinner outside on the water.
Castle Hill Inn was named one of the top 10 Seaside Hotel in the world in 2013 and continues to make for a great day or night out.

Take the Family to Sand Hill Cove
If you haven't been to a beach yet this summer, what are you waiting for? The warm weather is winding down so take family and friends to Sand Hill Cove and enjoy the beach, playground, concession area.

PawSox at McCoy
PawSox Game at McCoy Stadium
Nothing says summer time like heading over to the ballpark and catching a game. Whether it's Red Sox, PawSox or other, everyone has to go to at least one ball game this summer and the chances are winding down.
Therefore, head over to McCoy Stadium and watch the PawSox begin to close out thier season.

Movie at Rustic Drive in
Catch a Movie at Rustic Drive in
The end of summer means the end of drive in movies and Rustic Drive in is on it's final weeks of being open as they close at the end of September.
Drive in movies are one of the must do activites of the summer season and if you haven't gotten over to one, now is a good time.
Rustic Drive in is located on Route 146 in North Smithfield and the cost is $27 per carload

Get Clam cakes from Flo's
What is summer without clamcakes? With summer winding down, clamcakes are going away soon and if you haven't bit into one yet, now would be a good time to do so.
Get yourself to Flo's and take a bit into thier clam cake before the summer comes to an end. Dip it into their tarter sauce or just eat it as is.

Jane Pickens
See a Movie at Jane Pickens Theater
If it happens to be raining, the day is not ruined. Head over to Jane Pickens theater and catch a movie, at least you can smell the sea air.
The theater is a Greek Revival-style house and features indie films, classics and other unique cinema events.
The theater is located on 49 Touro St. in Newport.

Check out the My Sky exhibit at Prov Children's Museum
A fun and educational day is in store whn visiting the My Sky exhibit at the Providence Childrens Museum. A perfect activity for a rainy summer day.
The exhibit allows parents and kids alike to discover an immersive traveling exhibit exploring the universe. The exhibit is on display until September 7.

Save The Bay Exploration
Hold Sea Creatures at the Save The Bay Exploration Center
Weather not cooperating enough to go out to the beach and see what sea creatures you can find? No fear.
Visit the Save The Bay Exploration Center, located on 175 Memorial Blvd, and check out their 14 tanks filled with about 150 species that come directly from the Narragansett Bay.
Go over to the touch tank and hold starfish, hermit crabs, sea urchins and other sea critters.
Admission is only $5 and it goes to Save the Bay.
