Hilario Named 1st Peter Koch Memorial Award Winner by RI Mentoring Partnership

The Rhode Island Mentoring Partnership has announced that the first Peter Koch Memorial Award goes to Mario Hilario.
The award is in recognition of someone who matches the years of energy, enthusiasm, and goodwill Peter Koch brought to his mentoring.
"It's heartening to know, that we are raising awareness about mentoring, about the mission. Receiving this award, in his name, in his honor for me is the true prize. Peter, I hope we do you proud again this year. Thank you for all you've done," said Mario Hilario.

Mario Hilario started supporting the Rhode Island Mentoring Partnership in 2008. Since that time, Hilario has been a part of every Dancing With the Stars of Mentoring.
Hilario has also served as a spokesman for RIMP event's.
Peter Koch
Peter Koch was a board member for RIMP and was an advocate for mentoring for 20 years, mentoring two students himself.
Koch offered his employees time to volunteer as mentors. Koch sponsored recreational and educational field trips for his company's mentors and menthes and arranged for mentored youth to have free eye exams at Koch Eye.
In 2013, Peter was awarded the first ever Excellence in Mentoring in America Award for Individual Leadership.
The 10th anniversary edition of Dancing with the Stars of Mentoring will be held on Thursday, May 5th.
