FLICKERS RI Film Festival to Host Oscar Night America

FLICKERS: Rhode Island International Film Festival has been given the honor of hosting Rhode Island’s only sanctioned Oscar Night® America for the 83rd Academy Awards.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ grassroots program enables non-profit organizations to use this evening’s celebration as a fundraiser. On Sunday February 27, 2011 at the VMA Arts and Cultural Center, the RIFF plans a glamorous and festive occasion; pictures on the red carpet, hors d’oeuvres, desserts, silent auction and The Oscar’s telecast live on the big screen.
FLICKERS will announce more details about the event in the months to come. But mark your calendars, Oscar fans!
