She changed the face and sound of American music--don't miss seeing Diana Ross in Providence this summer

The one and only Diana Ross will grace the stage in Providence this summer, when she returns to the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at 7pm.

The legendary icon will perform her greatest hits in a spectacular live show featuring breathtaking costumes and stage designs.

Diana Ross has had a profound influence on American popular culture and has become an icon in the entertainment industry. She is an Academy Award nominated actress for her unforgettable role as Billie Holiday in Lady Sings The Blues, a Tony and Golden Globe winner, a bestselling author, winner of eight American Music Awards and a recipient of The Kennedy Center Honors.

Ross has sold over 100 million records and has recorded 18 #1 hits. Her music became the sound of young America in the '60s soon after she signed with Motown Records in 1961 with The Supremes. She embarked on her extraordinary solo career in 1970, and has not stopped since. In 1988, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Supremes. In 1993, the Guinness Book of World Records declared Ms. Ross the most successful female music artist in history due to her success in the United States and United Kingdom for having more hits than any female artist in the charts with a career total of 70 hit singles.

Tickets go on sale Friday, April 26, 2013 at 10am at the PPAC Box Office (220 Weybosset St, Providence), by phone at (401) 421-ARTS (2787), and online at www.ppacri.org. Box Office Hours are Monday through Friday, 10am-5pm; Saturday, 10am-2pm; and through curtain time(s) on performance days.

Tickets are $179 (limited Golden Circle), $98, $88, $68, and $58; all ticket prices include a $3 per ticket restoration charge and are subject to change without notice.
