Best Primary Night Bars
Monday, September 13, 2010
In Rhode Island, an election night is every bit as exciting as Super Bowl Sunday, and we've got the best watering holes for catching all the action, not to mention hearing the best political gossip in the state. Cheers!
McFadden’s Restaurant & Saloon, Providence
All the statewide Democratic candidates flocked here in 2006, but this year the Republicans are mixing it up by having their primary night celebration there. There are so many screens here, you could watch every race in RI... and probably the entire US. 52 Pine St, Providence, 861-1782.
Hot Club, Providence
True to its name, this place is a popular hotspot for politicos of all parties and persuasions. With a spectacular view of the Bay and outdoor seating, who could ask for a better place to wait out the returns? 575 Water St, Providence, 861-9007.

The Coast Guard House Restaurant, Narragansett
Owned by Frank and David Caprio’s father, here's a spot with roots in the political scene. We can't say if Frank will show Tuesday night, but for South County politicos, this is a great bet. 40 Ocean Rd, Narragansett, 789-0700.
