Badgley Mischka Opening Party

Wednesday, July 07, 2010

As reported a few weeks ago, Badgley Mischka launched a seasonal boutique in Newport on Bellevue Avenue. The space, filled with gorgeous couture gowns, adorable tees, shorts and tanks, as well as jewelry, handbags and fragrance, was filled with Newport’s most fashionable this weekend for the official launch party. GoLocalProv was honored to be on the limited guest list.

Mark Badgley and James Mischka were the ultimate gracious hosts taking the time to talk with each and every guest amongst a sea of champagne and appetizers. Guests were free to mingle, shop

and network as well as join in together over the admiration for this impressively humble design duo.

Adding accolades to inspiration, the designers offered a $250 bracelet for a $50 donation to the Potter Animal League, a cause close to their hearts introduced to them by Kim Renk, their jewelry designer. Badgley and Mischka are the proud owners of two rescue dachshunds:  Rommel and Whiskey.

The soiree was exceptionally fabulous and filled with interesting, creative, dynamic people from all walks in the fashion world.
