Autumn and Arts: Scituate Art Festival
Wednesday, October 15, 2014
For 48 years the Scituate Art Festival has grown in scope, size, and diversity yet has never lost the cozy feel that is North Scituate. This weekend was no exception.
The sounds of street musicians, the aromas of homemade food, and the visions of artists that dance on canvases and handmade craft scream amidst the quiet contemplation of a fall day. One can amble through the festival artist's booths or take in a homemade treat; all which sponsor local non profits, churches, scholarship funds, and community partner organizations.
It has become a Columbus Day weekend must. This weekend was a sunny day wedged between a rainy Saturday and a pleasant but overcast Monday. No matter what the weather the crowds came and enjoyed the village of North Scituate and the artists; some of which have been here from the very beginning.
