Lovers of popular literary fiction will not want to miss the appearance of three bestselling authors at a special reading and fundraiser for a wonderful cause.

"An Evening with Authors," set for September 21, takes advantage of "Reading with Robin" radio host (and GoLocalProv book critic) Robin Kall's incredible network of authors. This year, she's presenting Camille Noe Pagán (The Art of Forgetting), J.Courtney Sullivan (Maine), and Elin Hilderbrand (Silver Girl), in an evening of readings, discussion, signings, plus food and wine at Candita Clayton Studio in Pawtucket. Tickets are almost sold out for the event, and Kall said she'd begin a waitlist if reservations piled up.

“It’s always fascinating to hear authors speak about their work,” says Kall. "Gathering these three fabulous writers for their first RI author event is something I'm really excited about!"

the event—including ticket sales and art sales—will benefit the Love, Carol foundation, a non-profit dedicated to supporting families impacted by breast cancer.

On display at Candita Clayton Studio during the event will also be visual works by local artists Jenny Brown, Kate Blacklock, and Mimo Gordon Riley. Jenny Brown’s collages incorporate found objects to create striking floral and still life images. Kate Blacklock’s amazingly detailed photography captures the stunning in the everyday, and Mimo Gordon Riley’s bold renditions of the natural world explore the relationship between form and energy.

The evening will begin at 6pm with an offering of wine and food by local caterers Basil and Peppercorns. The program will start at 7pm, and after the presentation portion of the program, guests are welcome to browse the artwork and linger for snacks and conversation until 10pm.

"An Evening of Authors," Candita Clayton Studio in the Hope Artiste Village, 999 Main Street, Unit 105, Pawtucket. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online using the EventBrite portal at www.canditaclaytonstudio.com, or by calling Robin Kall at 519-1318.
