Aerosmith Drummer To Appear In Providence Jan. 25th

Thursday, January 23, 2014

Rock star turned coffee connoisseur Joey Kramer will be in Providence on the 25th to see fans at Dave's Fresh Marketplace.

Aerosmith’s famed drummer, Joey Kramer, will soon be Rockin’ & Roastin’ his organic, whole-bean coffee brand at Dave’s Fresh Marketplace in Providence. Kramer's coffee line can be found on the shelves of Dave's Fresh Marketplace and Stop & Shop locations throughout Rhode Island, and to celebrate the partnernship, the drummer will be hitting up the two stores to mix and mingle with local shoppers and fans alike.

“Teaming up with a retailer like Dave’s is a real ‘win’ in my book. Their focus on organic and sustainable goods is something I really admire and right in line with the Rockin’ & Roastin’ brand," said Kramer.

Attendees will have the opportunity to sample the roasts and meet, chat and pose for photos with Kramer, while checking out the latest offerings from Rockin’ & Roastin’. Kramer also will be personalizing Rockin’ & Roastin’ purchases with his legendary signature, making it a delicious collector’s item.

Unlike “sun grown” coffee that’s cheaper to produce but requires chemical fertilizers and pesticides and leads to the destruction of native rainforests, Rockin’ & Roastin’ Coffee is cultivated using the traditional “shade grown” method, under a canopy of indigenous trees. This sustainable practice supports a wide diversity of plant and animal life, provides food and shelter to migrating birds, and helps to filter carbon dioxide from the air, reducing the danger of global warming. There is currently a trio of international blends offered: two Dark roasts, from Sumatra and Ethiopia; and, a Dark-Medium, hailing from Guatemala.

Joey Kramer will be at Dave's Fresh Marketplace, 371 Putnam Pike, Smithfield from 10-11 am; and Stop & Shop, 850 Manton Avenue, Providence from 1-2 pm on Saturday, January 25.
