If you missed it in Newport, catch it in Watch Hill: The Nutcracker

It's all holidays all the time (no matter what you call your tree), and we've picked the five best ways to enjoy it this weekend.

The Nutcracker in Watch Hill

Sunday  If you missed Island Moving Company's sold-out Nutcracker at Rosecliff in Newport, now's a chance to see it in Watch Hill at the gorgeous Ocean House Inn. Tickets are $85/adult, $60/child, including coffee, tea, and cookies (plus tax and gratuity). Tickets are limited, so call now to reserve 584-7000.

Holidays in the Park in Providence

Saturday  This is a perfect family way to celebrate in one of the loveliest settings in Providence: the Roger Williams Park Botanical Center. The kids can do educational crafts, you can shop for handcrafted items, plus wreaths and gardening gifts, and there will be a display of rare poinsettias grown by URI Master Gardeners. Free admission with a donation of nonperishable food item for the RI Food Bank. 11am-2pm. For more information, go here.

Ice Skating Performance and Tree Lighting, Newport

Saturday  Super fun and festive for everyone, and there's just something unique about ice skating that close to the ocean. The Island Skating Academy will perform, there will be a lighting of the holiday tree, plus hot cocoa and cider,

Holiday Craft Fair in Tiverton

Saturday-Sunday  Enjoy as a tradition takes hold in one of RI's most scenic spots year-round, much less during the holidays. This 2nd annual fair is a unique, boutique artist showcase featuring more than 35 crafters and vendors. 10am-4pm, Knights of Columbus, 28 Fish Rd, Tiverton.

Decorate a Tiny Tree in Bristol

Friday  Blithewold is offering its young friends a workshop where they can decorate their very own miniature trees for winter. All supplies will be provided, including a small living tree and supplies to make tiny ornaments and embellishments. Refreshments will be served. The first session will be for ages Pre-K & K (11am-12:30pm) and the second session will be for grades 1-5 (4-5:30pm). Member children $12, Non-member children $15. 101 Ferry Rd (Rte 114), Bristol.
