Party with Rock Legends at Misquamicut SpringFest

Friday-Sunday: It's jam-packed party-down rock and roll at the beach this weekend, and any lover of the RI music scene won't wannt to miss John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band on Friday. There's much more, including a world-class fireworks bang at 9:30pm. Admission $5, parking $3, kids 3 and under free (portion of proceeds benefit Save the Bay and W.A.R.M. Center). Wheel it out at the Bike Prom

Saturday: This is one unique party... party two-wheel style (midnight bike parade with Big Nazo!) and raise money for the US Open Cycling Foundation. Not only is there the promise of music, raffles, food.. there are going to be prom king and queen, queen and queen, and king and king. Discover your inner SuperKitty

Saturday, Sunday: Potter Akiko Omori had a brilliant, compassionate idea. She's created a whimsical character called SuperKitty, and has combined it with her pottery. This weekend, the Dew Clay Pottery Studio will feature a special sale of SuperKitty products, with 100% of proceeds going to save animals orphaned by the Japanese tsunami, via JEARS (Japanese Earthquake Animal Rescue Support). Learn a little landscaping

Saturday: It's a half-day of environmentally sound landscape practices, and it's totally free, thanks to Save the Bay. Plus, there's a farmer's market, an exhibition area, and gardening services and tools are available for sale. You can even order rain barrels and composters in advance and pick them up then.
