19th Annual RI Flower Show
Friday-Sunday Just because it's winter doesn’t mean you have to give up flowers! The 19th Annual Flower Show is bringing hundreds of beautiful flower arrangements to the RI Convention Center this weekend. Explore more than 30 gardens, 200 marketplace booths, and horticulture lectures. The event will also feature a new Food & Wine Festival with regional and local top chefs. Saluting Music in the Blackstone Valley
Saturday-Sunday The Blackstone River Valley salutes the best local and cultural musical talent for a weekend full of musical performances, ethnic styling, and storytelling. Saturday evening, get a head start on St Patty’s Day with Irish music in Blackstone Valley. Singer/Harpist Aine Minogue will be holding a special CD release concert at 8
pm at the Blackstone River Theatre. Enjoy the exploration into Celtic musical heritage through her singing, harping and storytelling. The evening features her new project, "Close Your Eyes, Love." Sunday night at 7 pm celebrate “Ocean State” entertainment, as the newly-formed Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame (RIMHOF) hosts its 2012 Induction Ceremony and Concert at The Met. Providence French Film Festival 2012
Friday-Sunday Love French culture? Learning the language? Already speak it? The French Film Festival is coming to town this weekend with more than 20 films from dramatic French love stories to animated features. Sit back and soak up the French in the Cable Car Cinema and Café. Tickets and passes can be purchased at the Cable Car Cinema in advance or on the day of the screening, all showings beginning at 11 am. 7th Annual Illuminated Garden in Newport
Friday-Saturday Flowers of light are blooming in Newport. Come stroll through beautiful Ballard Park’s three-acre quarry meadow under the stars, surrounded by thousands of light displays nestled in the trees. Show Me Your PITS Mardi Gras Festival
Sunday Party in the weekend with The The Little Rhodie Bully Breed Club’s Mardi Gras Festival! Dig out your beads, lavish costumes, and your pet for a day of games, prizes, and raffles for dogs and their owners. Bring your dogs to participate in a doggie costume contest and parade for dogs to show off their carnival spirit! All dogs in attendance must be leashed, up to date on their vaccines, and non-aggressive.
